7 Day-2 rookies who will make an immediate impact in 2019

Greedy Williams, Cornerback, Cleveland Browns

Greedy Williams was my top-ranked cornerback in this draft class and I had a first round grade on him. I am not sure why he fell so far since he answered most questions about him at the combine and his pro day. Either way, the Browns had to be thrilled to be able to pick him in the second round.

Denzel Ward played amazingly when healthy and quickly became a shutdown corner in Cleveland’s system. It was apparent that the cornerback spot opposite Ward was a liability, however. Williams should be able to come in and compete for that starting spot right away.

Williams has the speed, athleticism, and long build to be an excellent cornerback in the NFL. While there will likely be some growing pains, I expect him to be entrenched as the starter opposite Denzel Ward by the end of the season.
