Oshane Ximines, Defensive End, New York Giants

Round 3 Pick 31 (Pick 95 Overall)

Oshane Ximines is another of my favorite sleeper picks from this past draft process. Ximines is perfectly suited to play defensive end in a 4-3 scheme with a solid all-around game. He shows solid strength in the run game with solid technique and hand usage as a pass rusher.

Admittingly, while I like Ximines’ potential, he would be better suited to be a rotational player early as he learns the more intricate parts of the game. After all, he didn’t exactly play against top competition in college. That being said, it’s hard to find anyone currently on the Giants roster who will keep Ximines off the field.

While it may not be ideal, Ximines will have the chance to play, and possibly start, very early in his career. There will be some obvious growing pains, but the potential and opportunity are there for Ximines to play early, learn on the job, and put up some decent numbers as a rookie.
