Kelvin Harmon, Wide Receiver, Washington Redskins
Round 6 Pick 33 (Pick 206 Overall)
Kelvin Harmon was one of my top-rated receivers in this draft class. I was surprised he got out of the second round, let alone lasting all the way to Round 6. He won’t wow you with his speed or quickness, but if you want a big, strong receiver who can make contested catches he is definitely your man.
I touched on the receiver situation in Washington in Part 1 of this series when talking about Terry McLaurin. The same principles apply to Harmon here. The Redskins don’t have many reliable receivers and could have a rookie quarterback starting very early in Dwayne Haskins. That means the younger receivers could quickly become some of his favorite targets.
I look for Harmon to get a lot of looks in the red zone and on third down as a big target who can win the 50-50 type balls.
