10 Undrafted Free Agents who could have an impact in 2019
Jonathan Ledbetter, Defensive End, Miami Dolphins
Jonathan Ledbetter isn’t going to beat anyone with quickness or speed off the edge. He’s more of stout edge rusher who wins with hand usage, strength, and motor. Those are also reasons why he can be effective playing inside and outside in certain situations. He struggled a little bit at the Senior Bowl, but those drills are more for the athletic specimens (like Montez Sweat) to shine. Ledbetter is more of a pure football player than an athlete.
Ledbetter has a great opportunity in front of him on the rebuilding Dolphins. Outside of 2017’s first-round pick, Charles Harris, there aren’t many established pass rushers on the roster. That should allow Ledbetter to impress in training camp, make the team, and get on the field as a rotational and versatile defensive lineman.
