10 Undrafted Free Agents who could have an impact in 2019
Dravon Askew-Henry, Safety, Pittsburgh Steelers
Dravon Askew-Henry was being talked about as one of the top safeties in the country as a Junior in 2015. Then he tore his ACL in the spring of 2016 and missed an entire season with a medical redshirt. When he came back, he wasn’t quite the same player he was pre-injury. He started rounding back in the shape at the end of 2018, but it was too little too late for his draft stock.
In Pittsburgh, if he continues to get back to pre-injury form, Askew-Henry will have ample opportunity to make the roster. Outside of starters Sean Davis and Terrell Edmunds, there is a big need for depth at the position. The fact that Askew-Henry has all the tools to be a terror on special teams should only help his case.
If he is able to make the roster, I expect Askew-Henry to make a big impact on special teams initially with his role expanding if injuries hit the safety position in Pittsburgh.
