Tight End: Mitchell Wilcox, Sr., USF

Mitchell Willcox was not heavily recruited out of high school as a 3-star prospect, with most of his offers being from smaller schools like USF, Ball St., and even James Madison out of the FCS. All Wilcox has done since then is develop into the best non-Power 5 tight end prospect that no one really knows about. He has great size, solid athleticism, and good hands.

Wilcox has had some up and down moments since first getting on the field after redshirting his true freshman season. He finally found his groove last season finishing the year with 43 receptions, 540 yards, but only 2 touchdowns. For a 6-5, 245-pound tight end, he definitely should be a bigger threat in the red zone.

Wilcox has a skill set that is perfectly suited for today’s NFL. If he can improve on his red zone effectiveness and overall consistency, he’ll be among the top tight end prospects in the country.
