Linebacker: De’Jon Harris, Sr., Arkansas

Despite only being a 3-star recruit out of high school, De’Jon Harris received offers from powerhouses like Alabama and Oregon before committing to Arkansas. Harris has been a tackling machine for the Razorbacks since arriving on campus. In the past two seasons, Harris has tallied 115 and 118 tackles respectively.

Harris has solid size for the position at 6-0 and 244 pounds. He is strong and can bring the lumber when he wants. Where he is especially good, however, is reading and reacting to plays while sifting through traffic and getting off blocks. And once he gets his hands on the ball carrier, they are most assuredly going to the ground.

Harris has steadily improved in coverage, but still needs some development in that area. Specifically, he needs to show more awareness in zone coverage and more of a nose for the ball. Harris already has the sideline-to-sideline ability to make an impact early in the NFL. If he can continue to improve his coverage ability, he can become one of the top linebackers in the draft and a potential first-round pick.
