The 2020 NFL Draft is going to be loaded at cornerback. Next year’s class is about as front-loaded as it gets, with eight players making this watchlist.

The 2019 NFL draft lacked a true No. 1 cornerback in its ranks despite the praise given to LSU standout and current Cleveland Browns rookie, Greedy Williams. That won’t be the case in 2020. In fact, there are so many talented prospects that the challenge will be identifying which one is the best.

This watchlist isn’t a ranking. Instead, it’s a group of eight corners who should be on your radar this college football season.

CJ Henderson, Florida

CJ Henderson is a smooth operator. He has elite footwork and speed. He ran an unofficial 4.35 as a high school recruit.

Henderson has put together some great tape; his speed mixed with his ability to accelerate out his cuts makes it extremely difficult for receivers to create separation.

Ball skills are absolutely there for Henderson. With most guys — especially at the collegiate level — undercutting routes is often a decision that leads to a big play for the offense, but that is not the case for CJ.

Henderson’s speed helps him like a blitzing pass rusher, too. He recorded three sacks in 2018.
