Darnay Holmes, UCLA

Darnay Holmes, because of his size may project initially as a slot corner. The slot corner position is becoming more and more important each year, with NFL offenses evolving into more spread concepts.

If you weren’t a fan of Greedy because he didn’t tackle then you probably won’t be a fan of Holmes either. Not sure if he’s afraid of contact or just doesn’t like it, but he’s not stepping up into any gaps in an effort to stop the run.

But cornerbacks aren’t paid big money to be run defenders and there’s a lot to live from a coverage standpoint in Holmes’ game.
