Cameron Dantzler, Mississippi State

Cameron Dantzler is similar to Bryce Hall in more than one way.  They both have good size and length and they were both overlooked as high school recruits.

There are some characteristics Dantzler doesn’t have, though. Unlike Hall, Dantzler is leggy which makes it tough to turn on routes quickly. His hips lack elite flexibility, too, making it even harder than it should be.

Dantzler is able to hide the flaws of his game by out-manning his opponents. He uses his length and the Mississippi State mentality to his advantage, both on the line and off the line.

Dantzler has good ball skills, too. He disrupts his opponents route off the line of scrimmage and can flip his head, track the ball and make a play.

Mississippi State calls for defensive backs to play with a physical edge. Dantzler has that. He won’t shy away from contact. In fact, he may invite it.
