Nick Bosa is in an excellent situation on a stacked 49ers defensive line, and Daniel Jeremiah has projected him to have double-digit sacks as a rookie.

Nick Bosa heads into the NFL with lofty expectations and, presuming he stays on the field, Daniel Jeremiah is expecting the San Francisco 49ers pass rusher to meet them.

The NFL Network analyst presented his best and worst-case scenarios for some of the most intriguing defenders in the rookie class, a list that former Ohio State star and second overall pick unsurprisingly heads.

Jeremiah paints the best-case scenario for Bosa as a season in which he stays completely healthy and establishes himself as one of the elite young players in the league.

Bosa called time on his college career early last year because of a core muscle injury and sat out much of the Niners’ offseason activities because of a hamstring injury. Jeremiah’s worst-case scenario is a season in which he is still able to impact the game but his numbers are limited because of nagging injuries that force him to miss time.

Also included in Jeremiah’s piece was a projection for each player and in this case he predicts Bosa racking up 55 tackles and 10 sacks.

Those numbers would fall on the best-case scenario side of the coin and, if Bosa posts those numbers as a rookie, the likelihood is the 49ers defense will be in for a monster year with DeForest Buckner providing the threat from the interior and Dee Ford rushing off the other edge.

Pass rush has long since been a weakness for San Francisco but the Niners have made moves to try turn it into a strength. If Bosa lives up to his billing then the 49ers should be one of the best teams in the league at pressuring the quarterback and Jeremiah clearly has a lot of faith he will do just that.
