Football season is almost here. All 32 NFL teams have started training camp. Each team will be tasked with finding their best 53 players over the next few weeks in an effort to finalize their rosters for the regular season. In this series, we will try to predict which players will make each roster. Next up, the Cincinnati Bengals.

The Bengals had a string of making the playoffs in 5 straight years from 2011-2015. They have won a total of 19 games since. That has led to Marvin Lewis being fired in favor of a young offensive mind in the form of Zac Taylor.

There is some talent on the roster in Cincinnati, but how the season turns out is likely dependent on the quarterback position and Andy Dalton. The Bengals are far from competing for a playoff spot but have the talent to be in a lot of games and possibly pull of some upsets.

Quarterbacks

  • Andy Dalton
  • Ryan Finley

Andy Dalton is not a great quarterback by any means, but he has been at least adequate throughout his career. He likely has one season to impress new Head Coach Zac Taylor. Otherwise, I see the Bengals moving on in 2020. Finley is a rookie that lacks ideal arm strength but is very accurate. It would not surprise me if Jeff Driskel ends up making the roster as well.
