In this 53-man roster series, we will try to predict which players will make every team’s final squad. Next up, the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The Jacksonville Jaguars went into 2018 with high expectations after making it to the AFC Championship game the year before. It wasn’t meant to be, however, as the Jaguars ended up finishing 5-11 and missing the playoffs in 2019. The biggest culprit was poor quarterback play and a poor offense overall.

The Jaguars hope to have taken care of the quarterback position this offseason with the signing of Nick Foles. The offensive line looks solid while there are plenty of questions about the skill players around Foles. If the offense can improve even a little bit, the defense is still one of the best in the league to get Jacksonville back to their standards of 2018.

Quarterbacks

  • Nick Foles
  • Gardner Minshew II

The Jaguars signed Foles to a big contract this offseason for him to take over as the franchise quarterback and be an upgrade over Blake Bortles. Minshew is a sixth-round pick who looks like the primary back as a tough, accurate if undersized, quarterback.
