Edge rushers trail only quarterbacks for the most coveted position on draft day. Here’s a look at some names to watch this college football season ahead of the 2020 NFL draft.

By now most have heard of the top edge-rush prospects in 2020; AJ Epenesa, Chase Young, and Yetur Gross-Matos all headline what could be a solid class of sack artists. However, there are a few names who may find themselves among the top of the class once it’s time to draft in 2020.

Jabari Zuniga, Florida

Jabari Zuniga is an absolute force in the run game. His anticipation of the snap count allows him to be one of the first off the ball, giving him an advantage when shooting gaps. Zuniga is powerful up top; he’s able to press blockers off his chest giving him the chance to locate the ball in the backfield and make a play.

Stuck in a 3-4 system with the Florida Gators, Zuniga is often forced to play 5-technique, making it more difficult to get to the quarterback than in a traditional 4-3 system.

He’ll need to provide more than the 6.5 sacks he registered last season if he wants to be considered a high profile prospect, but make no mistake he has the bend and explosiveness that most NFL scouts and general managers are looking for.
