Miles Boykin – Baltimore Ravens

The Ravens spent a first-round pick on Marquise Brown, yet it may be third-round pick Boykin who has a greater impact as a rookie.

While Brown is still battling to get back to full strength six months removed from Lisfranc surgery, Boykin has been building a rapport with his starting quarterback.

Boykin had four catches for 39 yards in the Ravens’ preseason tilt with the Jacksonville Jaguars, which also saw him have a touchdown called back on a holding penalty.

Per The Ravens Wire, Boykin has found quick chemistry with Lamar Jackson and made big plays in camp.

The top SPARQ athlete among this rookie wide receiver class, Boykin has the explosiveness to consistently make huge plays downfield. He also boasts the 6’3″ and 220-pound frame to box out defenders and win in close quarters on short and intermediate routes.

Willie Snead was the Ravens’ top receiver in 2018 with 62 catches for 651 yards. He remains on the team, but Michael Crabtree and John Brown are gone, taking 197 targets with them.

The Ravens will be a run-dominant team but, with such a high number of targets being vacated, Boykin is still in a great spot to see a lot of throws come his way. He provides excellent value as a receiver who should quickly blossom into a flex play with high upside.
