Gary Jennings – Seattle Seahawks

DK Metcalf has been the recipient of most of the attention when it comes to the Seahawks’ receiving corps. However, Jennings is starting to prove he is worthy of just as much hype.

The former West Virginia receiver shone at the Senior Bowl, but the Seahawks were still able to get him in the fourth round.

On Monday Jennings provided the most significant indication yet that the Seahawks got a steal in being able to pick him that low. Jennings had a practice offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer described as “near dominant,” making several highlight-reel receptions, according to Joe Fann of NBC Sports Northwest.

Tyler Lockett, Metcalf, and David Moore are all likely to start the year ahead of Jennings on the depth chart. However, as a predominantly straight-line receiver who has excelled at getting over the top and picking up yards after the catch, Jennings is an excellent fit for a Seahawks offense that relies heavily on the deep ball.

With strong, late hands and the ability to adjust to the ball in flight, Jennings has the tools to become a reliable target for Russell Wilson. At the very least, he is a player who should be on post-draft watch lists.
