The Florida Gators will be one of the more exciting teams to evaluate this college football season, and several of their high-profile prospects will kickstart their 2020 NFL draft quest in Week 1 against Miami.

This weekend we get our first taste of college football, and with it comes the beginning of the NFL Draft season.

Florida’s matchup with Miami provides a few key matchups that will impact some their prospects’ evaluations come May.

The Gators bring experience under center and a strong rushing attack to aid their offense. They’re deep at the receiver position but they don’t really have an alpha dog in the room, nor do they have a blue-chip draft prospect, although there is upside at the position.

The offensive line is the biggest question mark. Their only returning starter is center Nick Buchanan and they bring in two inexperienced players to man the tackles positions, while two of last year’s backups will man the guard spots.

Defensively, the Gators boast talent all over the field.

They have one of the best edge rushers in the class in Jabari Zuniga and add Louisville graduate transfer Jonathan Greenard to man the opposite side. Junior nose tackle Kyree Campbell is a disruptive run-stuffer with impressive size and quickness for a big man.

The Gators also boast talent at the linebacker position, but the most intriguing group on the roster is the secondary. They have one of the best cornerback duos in the nation and plenty of depth behind them. The Gators also have 4-5 safeties that will see the field, which includes at least two legitimate NFL draft prospects.

Let’s take a look at some of the top Gator prospects you’ll be seeing in this game.
