In this 53-man roster series, we will try to predict which players will make every team’s final squad. Next up, the Los Angeles Rams.

The Rams were able to get to the Super Bowl last season under the direction of their young genius of a Head Coach, Sean McVay. McVay has greatly improved the play of Jared Goff and the offense as a whole since his arrival. Bringing Wade Phillips on staff has done wonders for the defense as well.

The offense figures to be explosive once again in 2019. The biggest question on that side of the ball is how will they replace some key pieces that were lost along the offensive line? The defense looks thinner than last year, but some key veterans have been added as upgrades. The Rams should definitely be considered a threat to get back to the Super Bowl once again.

Quarterbacks

  • Jared Goff
  • Blake Bortles

Jared Goff has flourished in the new offense since McVay took over a couple of years ago. He once again looks like the franchise quarterback the Rams were looking for when they drafted him number one overall in 2016. Blake Bortles was brought in as a free agent to be the primary backup. It will be interesting to see if McVay can work his magic with the much-maligned Bortles as well.
