In this 53-man roster series, we will try to predict which players will make every team’s final squad. Next up, the Miami Dolphins.

The Dolphins have been the definition of mediocrity in recent years. In fact, Miami has won between 6 and 8 games in every year except for one since 2009. That includes multiple coaches, schemes, and quarterbacks.

The Dolphins look to have finally embraced a rebuild this offseason. That means things are going to get worse before it gets better. There is definitely plenty of bright spots for the future, however, with many draft picks acquired this offseason, a possible franchise quarterback, and plenty of other young talent sprinkled throughout the roster. 2019 may be a rough year for Dolphins fans, but the future looks brighter under the new regime.

Quarterbacks

  • Ryan Fitzpatrick
  • Josh Rosen

Ryan Fitzpatrick looks to be the likely Week 1 starter at this point of training camp. Expect Josh Rosen to take over as the starter and get plenty of playing time in 2019. Yes, he struggled mightily last year as a rookie but was taken 10th overall a year ago for a reason. Plus, the Dolphins need to see if they, in fact, have a franchise quarterback before what looks like a loaded 2020 draft class.
