In this 53-man roster series, we will try to predict which players will make every team’s final squad. Next up, the New York Giants.

The Giants haven’t exactly been good the past couple years with a grand total of 8 wins in the last two years. Saquon Barkley looked like the generational talent that everyone expected as a rookie last year. Questions remain throughout the roster around him, however. Especially after the offseason trade of electric receiver Odell Beckham Jr.

Eli Manning has unquestionably started to decline in recent years. That leads to the question of how early do we see Daniel Jones? And who takes over as the top receiver? While they are improved, those questions among others are why the Giants still look a year or two away from getting back to the playoffs.

Quarterbacks

  • Eli Manning
  • Daniel Jones

Eli Manning has already been named the starter for the Giants in Week 1. Daniel Jones has been making a case he should start after an impressive run through the preseason. The Giants’ decision to select him at sixth overall was highly criticized, but while it did seem like a reach no one really thought Jones couldn’t play in the NFL. He should take over as the starter of the future sooner rather than later.
