Cornerbacks

  • Trumaine Johnson
  • Darryl Roberts
  • Brian Poole
  • Kyron Brown
  • Parry Nickerson

Trumaine Johnson will look to bounce back after failing to live up to the big contract he received last offseason. Roberts is the leader to start opposite Johnson while Poole was signed from Atlanta to upgrade the nickel cornerback position. Brown and Nickerson are two raw, athletic players who will provide adequate depth and help on Special Teams.

Safeties

  • Jamal Adams
  • Marcus Maye
  • Rontez Miles
  • Brandon Bryant
  • Godwin Idwebuike

Jamal Adams has already become one of the best safeties in the NFL in his short career while Maye is not too shabby in his own right manning the other safety position. Miles, Bryant, and Igwebuike are all physical players who provide very good depth and will also likely help on Special Teams as well.

Special Teams

  • Lachlan Edwards
  • Taylor Bertolet
  • Thomas Hennessy

Edwards has been a solid punter for the Jets since being drafted in 2016 while Hennessy has been a solid long snapper the past few years as well. They could look to upgrade the kicker position before the season as Bertolet is the only kicker currently on the roster and hasn’t been more than an extra camp leg throughout his career.
