Interceptions – Rock Ya-Sin

First-round safeties Darnell Savage and Johnathan Abram are excellent candidates to lead the league in picks. However, Colts’ second-round pick Ya-Sin has already emerged as a potential starter and should have plenty of interception opportunities based on his history.

Ya-Sin has already taken starting nickel corner reps away from Quincy Wilson. With his aggressiveness and competitiveness at the catch point, he should have a shot at a high number of takeaways.

He had only two interceptions in 2018 at Temple but also deflected 12 passes. The Colts improved their pass rush through the additions of Justin Houston and Ben Banogu. As a result, Ya-Sin is in an excellent spot to turn more of his plays on the ball into picks. There could well be numerous teams wishing they took him in the first round by the end of 2019.
