College football officially kicked off over the weekend! While watching Florida outlast Miami in one of the ugliest games of football ever played and seeing Hawaii win against Arizona despite Cole McDonald being confused about which team he was supposed to throw to, it was impossible not to be excited about the upcoming season.

Most importantly, week zero offered us a glimpse at some potential 2020 NFL Draft picks that are worth monitoring as the season progresses. With that in mind, with college football finally returning, it’s time to take an early look at what the 2020 first round might look like. Please note, the draft order is based on the latest Super Bowl odds.

1. Miami Dolphins – Tua Tagovailoa, QB, Alabama

If the Miami Dolphins end up with the No. 1 overall selection, selecting a quarterback should be the team’s main priority. Tua Tagovailoa burst onto the scene last season for Alabama and would give the Dolphins an exciting prospect at the position.

2. Washington Redskins – Jerry Jeudy, WR, Alabama

After selecting a potential franchise QB in 2019 first-rounder Dwayne Haskins, Washington will be looking to add weapons to the rest of the offense. Jeudy is the most well-rounded receiver prospect of the last half-decade and would immediately step in as Haskins’ main target on the outside.

3. New York Giants – Chase Young, EDGE, Ohio State

Despite needing a pass-rushing boost going into the offseason, the New York Giants still lack a go-to, pocket-pushing presence. Chase Young, an athletic freak out of Ohio State would immediately boost this defense’s ability to rush the passer.

4. Cincinnati Bengals – Justin Herbert, QB, Oregon

Had he entered the 2019 Draft, Justin Herbert likely would have been a first-round selection. In returning to Oregon, however, Herbert has a chance to cement himself as a top-five talent in 2020. Barring a spectacular season, the Bengals will likely want to move on from longtime starter Andy Dalton, and Herbert would be an excellent replacement.

5. Arizona Cardinals – Andrew Thomas, OT, Georgia

In two consecutive drafts, the Arizona Cardinals have used top-10 selections on quarterbacks, however, in 2020, the team will instead want to add talent to an otherwise barren offense. Andrew Thomas has proven himself in the tough SEC and has the makings of an elite left tackle in the NFL.
