In this 53-man roster series, we will try to predict which players will make every team’s final squad. Next up, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The Buccaneers are a tough team to figure out. There is plenty of talent sprinkled throughout the roster, but they haven’t reached double-digit wins since 2010 and haven’t been to the playoffs since 2007. The franchise is hoping new Head Coach Bruce Arians can lead them back to those standards.

Quarterbacks

  • Jameis Winston
  • Blaine Gabbert

Jameis Winston is in a contract year and likely has this one year to show if he can be “the guy” in Bruce Arians’ offense. He certainly has the arm and skillset to be successful. Gabbert will serve as the primary backup while Ryan Griffin could make the roster initially as Gabbert returns from a shoulder injury he suffered in the preseason.
