In this 53-man roster series, we will try to predict which players will make every team’s final squad. Last up, the Washington Redskins.

The Washington Redskins were right in the middle of the playoff race at midseason last year. Then Alex Smith’s gruesome leg injury happened and they finished with yet another middle of the road record in 2019.

There is plenty of talent sprinkled throughout the roster, but it has yet to consistently pay dividends in recent years. Head Coach Jay Gruden is probably hoping 2019 can be the year it all comes together as he is squarely on the hot seat to begin the season.

Quarterbacks

  • Dwayne Haskins
  • Case Keenum
  • Colt McCoy

Alex Smith’s injury likely ended at least his Redskins career. The drafting of Dwayne Haskins only confirmed that. While raw and unlikely to play much this season, Haskins definitely has the look of a franchise quarterback in Washington. Keenum has already been named the starter for Week 1, but McCoy will likely get starts once he is fully healed from a leg injury he suffered last season.
