5. Jacob Eason, QB, Washington

27-for-36 (75%) for 349 yards with 4 TD and 0 INT

Jacob Eason finally made his much-anticipated debut for the Washington Huskies over the weekend. He was the talk of the summer after sitting out last year as a talented transfer from Georgia. As a former top recruit, no one has ever questioned Eason’s talent, but could he produce?

Eason emphatically put those questions to rest in Week 1 by throwing for nearly 350 yards and 4 touchdowns while leading the Huskies to a big 47-14 win over FCS power Eastern Washington. Washington has a talented enough roster to possibly compete for a playoff spot in 2019. If Jacob Eason can continue to put up numbers as he did in the first weekend, not only will he help his draft stock and Heisman chances, but he’ll also help lead Washington to new heights as a program.
