Joe Burrow and the LSU offense have set the college football world on fire to start the season. That continued against Vanderbilt as Burrow threw for six touchdowns and nearly 400 yards while leading the offense to 66 points. And that was largely through just three quarters.
Burrow has now amassed over 1,500 passing yards and 17 touchdowns and has yet to throw an interception on the year. That’s through four games! Let that sink in for a moment.
He will need to keep playing at a very high level as LSU takes on three Top-10 teams over the next five weeks in Florida, Auburn, and Alabama. If he can lead LSU through that stretch of games, Burrow will be right in the thick, if not at the top, of the Heisman race. LSU will enjoy a BYE this week before hosting Utah State on October 5th.
