2020 NFL Mock Draft: A Quarter of the Season is Over
By Seth Steere
25) Oakland Raiders (via Chicago Bears, 3-1): Tee Higgins, WR, Clemson
The Raiders replaced Burfict with their last pick and now they look to replace Antonio Brown. Higgins won’t awe you with his speed, but his body control and natural hands will make him a favorite for Derek Carr, assuming he’s still there.
26) Buffalo Bills, 3-1: Julian Okwara, Edge, Notre Dame
The Bills likely would’ve addressed edge rusher in last year’s draft if Ed Oliver didn’t fall to them, but you can’t blame them. No need to worries Bills fans because now you have both Oliver and Okwara, who’s finally starting to look like the guy we all thought he could be.
27) Dallas Cowboys, 3-1: Xavier McKinney, S, Alabama
Here you have it Dallas, you finally get the Safety you’ve been dreaming of and for a great price. McKinney is great in man coverage and will likely find reps at nickel corner for the Cowboys. Look for McKinney to line up all over the field.
28) Green Bay, 3-1: Jalen Reagor, WR, TCU
The Packers and Aaron Rodgers need a player with big play ability and that’s exactly what Reagor brings. If Ruggs wasn’t a part of the class, Reagor is the speed demon everyone would be talking about.
29) New Orleans Saints, 3-1: Jake Fromm, QB, Georgia
Sorry Saints fans, but Bridgewater is not your guy. Fromm is nothing exciting, but he has lived up to the moment time and time again for Georgia; he may not be the most athletic or the biggest quarterback, but he gets the job done. Sometimes that’s all it takes.
30) New England Patriots, 4-0: Raekwon Davis, IDL, Alabama
The Patriots are in a great spot to pick the best available player. Yes, they need help at tight end, but there isn’t a tight end worth drafting this high, making Davis the easy selection for Belichick and New England.
31) San Francisco 49ers, 4-0: Creed Humphrey, IOL, Oklahoma
The 49ers are set at tackle for at least another year behind Mike McGlinchey and Joe Staley, but they’ve struggled on the interior. Humphrey is the only returning starter for the Oklahoma offensive line this season but he had the talent to come out last year had he been eligible.
32) Kansas City Chiefs, 4-0: Bryce Hall, CB, Virginia
Many were confused when the Chiefs decided to pass on cornerback in last year’s draft, but they won’t make the same mistake twice. Hall may have lost out on some money deciding to return to school last season, but now he gets to play for a contender.
