Week 6 is upon us and we are finally getting into conference play, bringing some very intriguing match-up between 2020 NFL prospects.

This week brings match-ups between teams we actually want to see, no more 77-6 blowouts, hopefully. Conference play not only enhances the competition between teams, but between individuals as well.

That being said, let’s take a look at some of the top prospect match-ups that will be highlighted in Week 6 of the college football season.

#21 Oklahoma State vs. Texas Tech (9:00 am ET): Chuba Hubbard vs. Jordyn Brooks

Chuba Hubbard is currently leading the nation in rushing yards (938) and is on pace to eclipse 2,000 rushing yards (2,215) this season; the first time an Oklahoma St. RB has done so since Barry Sanders. Hubbard has been lights out so far this season and the only game he’s had under a 100 yards came when he received just eight carries.

Hubbard will have one of his toughest tasks yet this season going up against Texas Tech’s linebacker Jordyn Brooks. Outside of Brooks, the Red Raiders defense isn’t great, so it will be up to Jordyn to keep Hubbard corralled.

Recently — Jim Nagy, executive director of the Senior Bowl — put the spotlight on Brooks, calling him the “fasting rising draft prospect” in this year’s class and a potential Senior Bowl attendee.

#5 LSU vs. Utah State (12:00 pm ET): Grant Delpit vs. Jordan Love

Jordan Love has had his up-and-downs to begin the season, but all will be forgotten with a stand out performance against LSU. Touted for his size and arm talent, some scouts have speculated that Love could be the first senior QB drafted in 2020; for that to be the case he will need to show out against LSU.

In order for Love to have a good day, he’s going to have to get past the best safety in the country, Grant Delpit. Similar to Love, Delpit has not started the season as strongly as most would imagine and needs to have a big game. Utah State doesn’t possess the greatest offensive weapons, leaving every opportunity for Delpit to have a successful day.

#7 Auburn vs. #10 Florida(3:30 pm ET): Prince Tega Wanogho & Jack Driscoll vs. Jabari Zuniga & Jonathan Greenard

Jack Driscoll and Prince Tega Wanogho make up arguably one the best offensive tackle duos in the nation. Wanogho is an athlete playing tackle, but his experience as a starter has allowed his technique to grow and he’s starting to look more and more like a first-round pick. Jack Driscoll is a transfer from UMass and he deserves more attention than he’s currently getting.

The pair will have to face off against another formidable duo in Jonathan Greenard and Jabari Zuniga. Greenard, similarly to Driscoll, is a transfer; Greenard transferred to Florida from Louisville after missing last season due to a wrist injury. Greenard has had to carry most of the pass-rush load by himself recently with Zuniga missing the last couple of games due to an ankle injury. Zuniga’s return will provide a solid run defender and pass rusher opposite Greenard.

Arizona vs. Colorado(4:30 pm ET): CB, Jace Whittaker vs. Laviska Shenault Jr.

After a two-interception debut against the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors, the hype for Jace Whittaker has died down. Whittaker missed most of last season because of injuries. Hoping to return to form, Whittaker has started the season off strong for the Wildcats with 3 interceptions, 4 pass deflections, and 11 solo tackles.

This upcoming weekend he will be going up against one of the best receivers in the nation and a potential first-round pick, Laviska Shenault Jr., and Colorado will do anything and everything to get the ball into his hands. He aligns in the slot, split out wide, at running back, and even quarterback at times. Whittaker has played in both the slot and outside, so look for Whittaker to mirror Shenault for most of the night.
