5. Nick Bosa – San Francisco 49ers

The No. 2 overall pick and the player many regarded as the best player in the 2019 class may only have one sack, but he has made a remarkable impact for the unbeaten Niners.

Bosa is a significant reason why San Francisco is 3-0. He has 17 pressures through three games and leads all edge rushers in Pro Football Focus’ Pass Rush Productivity metric.

The former Ohio State Buckeye wreaked havoc against a highly regarded Pittsburgh Steelers offensive line in Week 3, helping the Niners close out a 24-20 win by getting pressure on Mason Rudolph to prevent a game-winning drive.

Excelling with his combination of power and extremely well-refined hand usage, Bosa has quickly become a force on the 49ers’ supremely talented defensive line. Now finally off the injury report going into Week 5, the sacks should soon reflect the pressure he has been able to create.
