1. Gardner Minshew – Jacksonville Jaguars

For all the hype around Kyler Murray and the debate around Daniel Jones, it is a sixth-round pick from Washington State who has been the top rookie quarterback in the league through four weeks.

‘Minshew Mania’ has gripped the NFL, with the former Husky quickly resurrecting a Jaguars season that looked dead when Nick Foles broke his clavicle in the opener.

While Murray, Jones and Dwayne Haskins have each had issues with turnovers, Minshew has done a magnificent job protecting the ball. He has completed 69.4 percent of his passes for 905 yards, tossing seven touchdowns to just one interception.

Remarkably composed in the pocket for somebody of his limited experience, Minshew has proven he can escape pressure and keep plays alive.

Minshew’s performances have been littered with difficult NFL throws and, in a division where every team is 2-2, he will be a near-lock for Offensive Rookie of the Year should he remain the starter and lead the Jaguars to the playoffs.
