Tua arguably had his worst game of the season last Saturday against Texas A&M. It’s saying something that he still accounted for nearly 300 yards and four touchdowns through the air despite a subpar performance for him. Tagovailoa had his worst completion percentage in a game this season and finally threw his first interception of the year. Really all that just shows how good he has been most of the year and how good he is even when not playing to the standards we’ve come to expect from him.
He is still among the nation’s leaders in nearly every statistical category for quarterbacks, not to mention he has also led Alabama to an undefeated record thus far in a convincing fashion.
Tagovailoa and the Crimson Tide will look to keep things rolling this weekend when they host struggling conference foe Tennessee. Much like Burrow, Tagovailoa’s chances of winning the Heisman really comes down to the showdown between the two rivals, LSU and Alabama, in the coming weeks.
