In a battle of Big 12 conference powers, Jalen Hurts and Oklahoma were able to edge Texas in a hard-fought game last Saturday. Hurts did have one of his worst days throwing the football this season as he was held under 60% completion percentage for the first time in 2019, as well as having his third straight game with an interception. He made up for it by accounting for 131 yards and one touchdown on the ground.
His dual-threat ability is what really separates Hurts from the rest of the top contenders for the Heisman Trophy. In fact, he’s not only the leading rusher among quarterbacks this season, but is the 12th-leading rusher in the entire nation.
Hurts will look to continue his strong dual-threat play and keep Oklahoma’s undefeated season and playoff hopes alive this weekend when the Sooners host West Virginia on Saturday.
