Scouting Report. QB. Joe Burrow. 1. Pick Analysis. LSU. player. 817

Last week vs. (9) Auburn: 32-for-42 (76.2%)| 321 yards| 1 TD| 1 INT| 13 rushes| 31 yards| 1 TD

Season Stats: 205-for-260 (78.8%)| 2,805 yards| 30 TD| 4 INT| 52 rushes| 125 yards| 3 TD

Joe Burrow had a solid, if unspectacular, game last weekend against Auburn. Throughout the game, it seemed as though Auburn slowed down LSU’s passing attack for the most part. That is until you see that Burrow ended the game with 321 yards through the air. Burrow also showed off his mobility on the ground and accounted for two total touchdowns in the game. The most important result, however, was the fact that LSU stayed undefeated and are ranked number one after the win. That is what gives Burrow the edge right now in a muddled race for the Heisman Trophy.

The improvements in Joe Burrow’s game have been well-documented. He has improved so much so that he is among the top three college passers in nearly every statistical category. He is also tied for the second-most total touchdowns in the country up to this point in the season.

Burrow and the Tigers will enjoy a week off before traveling to face the second-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide on November 9th. That game could very well end up being the “Game of the Year” and will go a long way to determining the College Football Playoff, National Championship, and Heisman races.
