3. Terrell Lewis, Alabama

(Stats: 27 TKLs, 9.5 TFLs, 6.0 Sacks in 8 games)

Where He Wins – First Step: Speed, speed, and more speed is what offensive tackles have to deal with when facing Lewis. Add on top of that elite snap anticipation and you may as well sprint to the corner if you want to beat him there. He is able to take advantage of tackles hustling to the corner by planting and going inside.

Needs To Improve – Strength: His biggest at the next level is going to be his ability to compete at the point-of-attack. If an opposing tackle is able to get his hands on him he can often control the POA. Lewis is more of a finesse player with great length, some added muscle will help his success in the NFL.

4. Julian Okwara, Notre Dame

(Stats: 19 TKLs, 7.0 TFLs, 5.0 Sacks in 9 games)

Where He Wins – Athleticism: It was tough narrowing it down to one thing for Okwara. He’s quick, has great speed, fast hands, good bend; he’s just an athlete. He has enough strength to challenge blockers and get them off balance and finishes them off with his speed and ability to bend the corner.

Needs To Improve – Hand Technique: Despite having “quick hands,” he isn’t the most nuanced. You can see him trying to work pass-rush moves, but he doesn’t have great timing or placement; he doesn’t work inside and settles for outside control.
