Kylin Hill RB
Next is this writer’s personal favorite sleeper back as he has the potential to be a bell cow despite not getting his name called until the middle rounds of the 2020 NFL Draft. Mississippi State University’s Kylin Hill is a joy to watch on the field and his production matches what is shown on film. The stocky Hill has shown both burst and power throughout his career at Mississippi State, and is a borderline top-five back on this writer’s big board.
The 5-11 and 215 pound back has eclipsed the 1,000 yard mark this season and is averaging nearly six yards per carry for the Bulldogs; Hill has also found the endzone nine times this season. For his career, Hill has tallied 2,154 rushing yards and 15 touchdowns and has averaged the same clip he is averaging this year at 5.8 yards per carry.
While Hill could use a bit more patience waiting for a hole to develop rather than trying to become a battering ram and clear one himself, Hill demonstrates great lower body strength and contact balance as he keeps his legs churning to pick up gritty, tough yards. Hill is explosive and has a fantastic initial burst through the first level of the defense, and has enough agility to pick up yards after contact and make defenders miss in the open field.
Do not sleep on Kylin Hill. He is a bulldozer with the football in his hands and has the traits to become a quality starting running back at the next level.
