53. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Round 6. Pick 169. Harrison Bryant. player. TE

The Browns run an awful lot of 12 personnel, meaning they field two tight ends in the same formation. However, former first round pick David Njoku has not shown consistency despite jaw dropping flashes, and the other tight ends on the roster are free agent flyers in Ricky Seals-Jones and Pharaoh Brown.

Do not expect Njoku to go anywhere, but it would not be a shock at all to see the Browns add another tight end to the roster via the draft. Here in the sixth round, the Browns grab Florida Atlantic standout Harrison Brant with the 169th overall pick. Pairing this 6-5 and 240 pound pass catching tight end with Njoku could give the Browns a lethal 12 personnel pairing.

Through ten games this season, Harrison is bordering on 1,000 yards receiving with 708 yards and two scores on a career high 48 catches. Given the Browns’ redzone woes, why not go out and get another big, athletic target for Mayfield to potentially throw to in 2020?

Beckham Jr., Landry, Njoku, potentially Higgins, and now Bryant. This would leave Mayfield with no shortage of firepower moving forward. Late in day-three of the draft as well, there is minimal risk involved in taking a chance on a player either.
