. Wide Receiver. . Ohio State. Binjimen Victor. 213. player. 55

Seventh-round picks are usually a hope and a prayer that the pick can bring some value to the team. With Binjimen Victor, the Steelers would be taking a chance on a large receiver from a top college program who could develop with time and patience.

The Steelers receiving corp is young. Johnny Holton was the only receiver on the roster coming into Week 10 over 25. He’s 28 and doesn’t appear to have a future with the team. Holton was also the only wideout taller than JuJu Smith-Schuster’s 6’1″ frame. These changed when Tevin Jones (who is 26 and stands 6’2″) was brought up Wednesday from the practice squad, but again, his future isn’t certain either.

While the Steelers are expected to target a receiver in free agency, it certainly wouldn’t hurt to take a flyer on a guy like Victor in the 7th-round.

Victor is 6’4″ and knows how to use his size effectively. In his four years at Ohio State, Victor has 70 catches, 16 of which were touchdowns. Victor’s game between the 20s will take some grooming. However, he could have packages designed for him in the redzone until he brings it together.
