Scouting Report

A name that is beginning to gather some steam within drafnik circles is Baylor wide receiver Denzel Mims. At 6-3 and 215 pounds, Mims is a massive target for Brewer to see, and he has not let his quarterback down this season either.

On the year to this point, Mims has tallied 675 receiving yards and eight touchdowns on 44 catches for the Baylor Bears. Three games less than he played during his 2018 season and Mims is only 11 catches and 193 yards behind his numbers from a year ago; testing at the combine in March will have a huge bearing on Mims’ draft stock, but one thing is for sure: he looks the part.

While the senior receiver from Baylor has not received a Senior Bowl invite to this point in the season, but as others turn down their invite there is a definite chance he could make his way to Mobile, Alabama as he continues to make his case for a worthy prospect for the 2020 NFL Draft.

Keep an eye on Mims today as he looks to continue to find the endzone, doing so in all but one game all season. He is not a hard person to find as he is usually the tallest guy outside the numbers on the offensive side of the ball for Baylor; watch number 15 as Baylor looks for a statement win over Oklahoma to remain undefeated on the season.
