USC v. Cal

Michael Pittman Jr., Wide Receiver, USC

Today may be the biggest game of the year for Pittman going up against, arguably, the best secondary in the Pac-12. His best game of the season came against Utah, one of the most talented defenses in the conference. He’s struggled against tough competition (Oregon, Notre Dame, and Washington), today he’ll need to prove he can play against NFL talent as he did against Utah.

Ashtyn Davis, Safety, Cal

Davis was a track athlete for Cal before he was a football player, but that hasn’t stopped him from quickly becoming one of the best safety prospects in the 2020 NFL Draft class. Going up against one of the better passing attacks in the Pac-12, he’ll have his hands full going up against the talented duo of Pittman and Tyler Vaughns. This may be his toughest test this year, but next year Davis will be joining Troy Dye at the senior bowl.

Evan Weaver, Linebacker, Cal

Evan Weaver is a tackling machine; he is currently on pace to beat last year’s tackle total of 155 by 22 tackles — 177 tackles, an average of 14 tackles per game. Going up against a pass-happy offense Weaver will have his hands full. He’s received some flack from the draft community about being too slow with little to no ability to cover in space. Today will be a huge test as he has a chance to boost his 2020 NFL Draft stock here.
