2020 NFL Draft: stock up/stock down on quarterbacks after week 12
By Cory Kinnan
Five of the big name quarterbacks in the upcoming 2020 NFL Draft took the field yesterday; here is how their stock looks as the 2019 season winds down.
The college football is now 12 weeks down after feeling like it just started yesterday as the cream is beginning to rise at this point in the season. In what was considered to be a deep class of quarterbacks for upcoming the 2020 NFL Draft, it may have taken a significant hit yesterday with the injury to Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.
Washington quarterback Jacob Eason was off as the Huskies had their bye week yesterday, but the other big four in Jalen Hurts, Jake Fromm, Joe Burrow, and Justin Herbert were all in action. Jordan Love was also in action for Utah State yesterday, but showing signs of regression this year, he is better off staying in school for another year and potentially grad transferring to a power five school.
There is a solid chance that at least five quarterbacks could go in the first round of the 2020 Draft, depending on the severity of Tagovailoa’s hip injury that is expected to end his season. There are many quarterback needy teams as well that include the Mimi Dolphins, Cincinnati Bengals, Tennessee Titans, and more.
Here is the stock up/stock down for Tagovailoa, Hurts, Herbert, Fromm, and Burrow after each of them came away with wins in their week 12 matchups.
