Scouting Report

STOCK NEUTRAL

Week after week, Georgia quarterback Jake Fromm does just enough to keep NFL teams and scouts interested in his talents. His numbers on the box score never look impressive, but makes a handful of big time throws that open eyes.

This week was no different, as Fromm finished with just 110 yards passing and three touchdowns, completing less than 50 percent of his passes, but had some highlight throws that absolutely translate to the next level. Fromm is a consistent force for the Bulldogs, and is ultra-safe with the football… almost to a detriment.

On the season, Fromm has just 16 passing touchdowns with less than 2,000 yards passing for the Bulldogs. He has, however, thrown only three interceptions and is completing about 65 percent of his passes. While NFL teams would like to see more out of Fromm, he has done just enough to stay neutral in the minds of scouts and general managers at the next level.

Currently ranked as this writer’s third overall quarterback, one NFL team is going to get one of the smartest quarterbacks pre-snap and working through his progressions. While Fromm does not have the physical tools of Jacob Eason or Justin Herbert, he has enough arm strength to play at the next level and has the accuracy along the sideline to make big time throws.
