2020 NFL Draft: Updated quarterback big board after Tua Tagovailoa injury

What a rise it has been for Joe Burrow and the LSU Tigers in 2019; after entering the season as a day-three flyer, Burrow looks to be in the driver’s seat to become the top overall pick and is the front-runner for the Heisman Trophy at this point in the 2019 season. As the top ranked LSU Tigers continue their hunt for a National Championship, Burrow has been the driving force behind their season.
Last year, Burrow completed less than 58 percent of his passes for just under 2,900 yards with 16 touchdowns and five interceptions. Taking a massive leap in his second season since transferring from Ohio State, Burrow has racked up nearly 3,700 yards passing, completing over 78 percent of his passes, for 38 touchdowns and just six interceptions.
While Burrow’s mechanics are a bit iffy and he does not possess unworldly arm strength, his ability to work through his progressions and drop dimes right on the money have him in contention to be the top pick in the draft. He looks like the face of a franchise with all of the tough, gritty plays he has made this season when the Tigers need it the most.
