2020 NFL Draft: Updated quarterback big board after Tua Tagovailoa injury

Justin Herbert 10
Justin Herbert remains the top rated quarterback on this writer’s big board, and he showed a big time arm this weekend against Arizona. Him and Burrow have literally the same score at this point in the season, but Herbert earned the tiebreaker as he has played at a high level over the last two years combined now.
Why have people forgotten about Herbert after proclaiming he would have been the top rated quarterback a year ago had he come out? In all reality, Herbert is having his best season yet, but it is being overshadowed by the historic year that Burrow is putting together; less than 500 yards off his total from a year ago with a handful of games left, Herbert has thrown for nearly 2,700 yards at this point with 28 touchdowns and just three picks.
Last season he threw for 29 touchdowns and eight interceptions, so Herbert is well on his way to shattering those numbers for the one-loss Oregon Ducks, who are well within reach of the College Football Playoffs. Most impressive, however: Herbert completed under 60 percent of his passes a year ago, but has jumped that number up to nearly 70 percent in 2019.
On film as well, Herbert looks like an NFL superstar as he shows great mechanics, plenty of arm talent, and enough accuracy to do the trick. While he may not be the first quarterback drafted, some lucky team is going to get Herbert with great value in the 2020 NFL Draft.
