OT. Alabama. Jedrick Wills. 13. 13. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. player

With the thirteenth pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, the Los Angeles Chargers select Jedrick Wills, offensive tackle, Alabama.

The offensive front in Los Angeles is an absolute mess for the Chargers. After finishing a game short of the AFC Championship a year ago, the Chargers look like they have regressed in 2019, as they are currently fighting to stay in wild card contention; a ton of the blame can fall onto the shoulders of the offensive line.

Here they take Jedrick Wills out of Alabama with the 13th overall pick in order to address this issue as right tackles Sam Tevi and Trey Pipkins have been far less than ideal in Los Angeles this season. Woods is the starting right tackle for the Alabama Crimson Tide, across from the other highly touted tackle Alex Leatherwood.

They have weapons on both the offensive and defensive side of the ball, there is no reason the Chargers should not be able to compete right now. Already the third tackle off of the board after Andrew Thomas and Tristan Wirfs, Wills to the Chargers makes far too much sense as they seek to preserve the few years of Phillip Rivers’ career that they have left after blocking for Tua Tagovailoa.
