Pick Analysis. player. Alabama. Trevon Diggs. 15. Scouting Report. CB. 54

With the 15th pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, the Philadelphia Eagles select Trevon Diggs, cornerback, Alabama.

Cornerback Trevon Diggs becomes the third player from Alabama drafted here, and the third cornerback drafted as well behind Okudah and Fulton. Anyone who has even just caught a glimpse of an Eagles game this year knows that cornerback help is their top priority as Ronald Darby has struggled, Avonte Maddox has been hurt, and Sidney Jones is a bust.

Landing a high caliber player like Diggs in this deep cornerback class is a win for the Eagles as their championship window remains open. They have their quarterback (I think?), they always have a solid running back committee, a solid tight end in Zach Ertz, one of the best offensive and defensive fronts in the league.

This pick came down to either running back or wide receiver for the Eagles, but at the end of the day, Diggs was the best player left on the board and the one that lands in Philadelphia here. With excellent ball skills, the 6-2 and 205 pound Diggs has three interceptions, one touchdown, and six additional passes defended for the Crimson Tide defense in his 2019 campaign.
