Greenard deserves more respect

Let me be the first to tell you, Jonathan Greenard is a stud and deserves your respect. One of the first games I put on was the Georgia game; if you were to look at his box score after the game you would come away unimpressed, but that’s why you don’t box score scout.

Andrew Thomas is Georgia’s left tackle and is widely viewed as the best offensive tackle in the 2020 class and Greenard embarrassed him on several occasions.

The video above is one example, of Greenard getting the best of Thomas. It doesn’t end in a sack, but Greenard forces Fromm to step up in the pocket and throw the ball sooner than he’d like too. If you were just looking at the box score, you would miss plays like this. He may not be the biggest or the fastest, but he has a great understanding of leverage and a great feel for the game.

He attacks every play with a plan and perhaps his best trait is his ability to make adjustments to his pass-rush plan. In the first half against the Bulldogs, Greenard struggled to get into the backfield, but when the second half rolled around things changed.
