2020 NFL Draft: Jonathan Greenard is falling under the radar
By Seth Steere
Greenard’s best traits
His snap anticipation is arguably the best in the class and because of it he is a threat to take the corner on every play and he’s fully aware of his gift and uses it to his advantage. He will quickly gain ground up-field then turn-and-burn inside; he has the requisite strength in his upper half to fight through his opponents’ attempt to block him (as seen in the video).
When the combine rolls around don’t look for Greenard to be the guy that blows it up, but it wouldn’t surprise me if he had one of the better 3-cone and short shuttle times. He got phenomenal burst, and can often beat opponents with his change-of-direction skills.
If he can improve upon his hand technique at the next level or perhaps even in the offseason, it wouldn’t be a shocker if Greenard — outside of Chase Young — is the most productive pass rusher in his class. He can win inside, outside, against the run, against the pass, against elite talent, and against lesser talent.
Don’t let his middling athletic traits fool you, Greenard is a stud and more often than not, you can rely on production over athletic traits.
