Justin Herbert QB
He could have been QB1 last year, and nothing has changed as Justin Herbert is flying under the radar as the best quarterback in the 2020 NFL Draft.
Joe Burrow of Louisiana State and Jacob Eason of Washington have joined Alabama’s Tua Tagovailoa as the most talked about names in the upcoming 2020 NFL Draft at the quarterback position. Yet, just as he did a year ago before deciding to stay in school at Oregon, Justin Herbert is quietly putting together his best season yet.
Last year Herbert threw for over 3,100 yards with 29 touchdowns and eight interceptions, completing under 60 percent of his passes. This year, in just 10 games to this point, Herbert is just under 500 yards off of last years yardage mark, one touchdown shy, and has thrown only three interceptions this year; icing on the cake, the Oregon star is completing nearly 70 percent of his passes this season.
While Kyler Murray, Daniel Jones, and Dwayne Haskins were taken in the first round of last year’s NFL Draft, there is a real chance that Herbert would have been graded out as the best quarterback in the 2019 class. In 2020, despite the rise of Burrow and Eason and the steady flashes from Tagovailoa, Herbert remains the top quarterback in the draft.
Here is an in-depth look at the University of Oregon’s Justin Herbert, QB1 in this upcoming 2020 NFL Draft. And no, this is not just a reaction to last week’s monster game over Arizona.
