A final word, if I may…

Somehow Herbert continues to ride the coattails of the other quarterbacks in this class, despite his big arm, ability to thread the ball into tight windows, polished mechanics, and toughness in the pocket. Justin Herbert plays the game of football at a high cerebral level, and the combination of size, smarts, and traits makes him the easy choice atop this writer’s quarterback big board.

A ten percent increase in completion percentage, on pace for more passing yards and touchdowns, and turning the ball over less, Herbert has done all the right things to improve his draft stock; this is evident not only in the box score but on film as well. Yet as the season has gone on, Herbert has continued to slide down the board until as of late.

Tua, Eason and Burrow are all the rage, but Herbert continues to stand out among them and remains atop this writer’s big board at the quarterback position. It is time to wake up and smell the Oregon roses the time for sleeping on Herbert has long surpassed. While Justin Herbert may not be the first quarterback off the board, some NFL franchise is going to get really lucky to have the Oregon gunslinger fall in their lap.
